Project Description:

A competition hosted by DesignbyMany called for a building-to-building pedestrian bridge that considers how new programs can be accommodated in existing structures.

My proposal, The Folded Plate Bridge, draws inspiration from the complex art of origami to achieve structural integrity and spatial variation in a unique site condition. The intent of the Folded-Plate Bridge is to facilitate social connections, transforming a throughway into a space for reflection and interaction.
